They have excellent flim strength to withstand the high pressure normally encountered in heavily loaded open gears. They also possess good antiwear and antirust properties They are homogeneous and heat reversible, ie., they return to the same homogeneous state after heating. Thus they have the ability to stay in place and provide protection to open gears and wire ropes. APPLICATIONS: forlubrication of open gears, cable and wire ropes. PERFORMANCE LEVEL: Meets IS 9554-1980 specifications. Not recommended forlightly loaded open gears and not to be used in food processing industries.
